The Board of Selectmen meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 P.M. in the lower level of Town Hall.

The Board of Selectmen consists of six members, including the First Selectman, all of whom are elected in a town-wide election to two-year terms. Connecticut General Statutes provide under minority representation rules that no more than four members of the Board of Selectmen can be elected from the same party.

Form of Government

Board of Selectmen/Town Meeting
Elections are held biennially in the odd years on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November.
The Annual Town Meeting is held in the month of May and followed by a Referendum on the Annual Budget.
