ODAAC Meeting Notes

Joan again, would like to ask if anyone is interested in acting as recording secretary. The group agreed that minutes should be posted on the website, as well.
Noreen presented a Tobacco Flip designed by her SADD students. Joan suggested sending it to CCSUD for their conference next fall. Joan will also contact Cathy Austin at ASHS to see if her SADD group would like to do a similar project.
Jayne reported that her Youth Evening nights continue to attract many students, averaging 175 students, up from 145. She also reported that the Woodbridge Youth Services Commission sent a letter to Dr. Brady, the BOE, and the BOS endorsing the re-instatement of the SRO to the high school.
Joan has been attending BOE and BOS meetings to advocate for the re-instatement of the SRO, and also posted an editorial as such, on the ODAAC webpage. Recent press coverage in The Bulleting has also bolstered the interest, community-wide. A meeting is planned for tomorrow morning with the First Selectmen of each of the towns, the Police Chiefs, Dr. Brady and BOE chairman, Bill Blake. Joan will update us on their progress as it unfolds.
